college au in which scully is in pre-med and the writer of an astrophysics column for the campus paper & mulder student-teaches classes about the modern applications of cannabis in the personal spiritual journey through a corporate world while working on his thesis (aliens!!!!!!!!!!!!!). they routinely bump into each other at the bookstore but never really bother talking until the day mulder buys twilight and scully is like, am i surprised, and mulder gets really defensive like don’t underestimate the ancient seductive appeal of the vampire and scully’s like i preferred the hunger games and then they wind up accidentally getting into a spirited debate about young adult fantasy novels that culminates in them agreeing to meet up to marathon the harry potter movies (terrible adaptations, argues scully; entertaining films, argues mulder). it’s only after the fifth date that they realize they’re dating
